Travel | Copenhagen Cheap Eats & Treats
My love for this city knows no bounds—as illustrated by repeated recommendation requests from friends, acquaintances, and practically strangers alike. I've compiled a quickie visual guide of cafés, casual eateries, food halls, bakeries, and desserteries to give you a taste. There are too many gems both hidden and known, but this covers a spectrum of iconic establishments and low-key local joints to start with. (Feel free to comment below if you think I missed a noteworthy place.) Also a disclaimer: I titled it "cheap eats" relative to proper restaurant level prices; Denmark by many standards is not a cheap place.
There are a plethora of extensions beyond this guide: eat alone & get to know your servers, try the ethnic food (Middle Eastern in Nørrebro neighborhood + Hungarian lángos food truck), picnic on the public gardens, and open up to traditional Nordic food (e.g. smørrebrød). Jealous that you're heading over; send København my love & please share with others if this was helpful!
Restaurant, Drinks, & Sightseeing Guides coming soon.
