Hi, nice to meet you
I'm Vicky¹, behind Brooklyn-based Skin Contact Studio.² I'm an editor and growth partner to frontier tech founders and funds.
People I work with are often at juicy/knotty inflection points: you might be landing your first client partners or preparing for the next round of fundraising. I come in to tackle a clear need in the brand universe (messaging, content, comms, partnerships, etc) and often stay on for ongoing advising. After all, it's hard to let go of a good thinking partner when you find one. :)

How we might work together
For specific challenges (1-4 months) Things like bringing cohesion and imagination to brand positioning, standing up an editorial operation, revamping whatever needs extra love for sales - always with ops & systems in mind.
As your confidence partner (ongoing) Regular strategic chats about the bigger questions you're wrestling with - and systematically building your conviction in key decisions.
Want to have an initial strategy chat? Email me at vicky[at]skincontact.studio with a note on what you're working on or looking for. If it looks good to explore together, I'll set up a rich, focused discovery convo.
You can also sign up for my newsletter — hyperdisciplinary — for monthly field notes on building businesses that make space for creative evolution and social impact. Readers include leaders from The NYT, Discord, Google, Adobe, Publicis, Ogilvy, and many indie operators. ♥

“I knew we had to work with Vicky from my first meeting with her, but I couldn't have begun to imagine how impactful her work with us to build a sharpened narrative strategy would be. Not only does Vicky have an incredible skill for creating a comfortable, creative environment that encourages organic, thoughtful feedback from users and team members alike, but her ability to aggregate soft data like user quotes, a founder's abstract vision thoughts, and the things that make our brand tick into a cogent and impactful narrative strategy is truly remarkable.”
